Welcome

I am a design engineer at Silicon Laboratories in Austin, TX. The group I work in makes chips for televisions. We basically do most of the filtering/mixing/converting/signal-processing/etc required for a TV to pluck a signal out of the air, or cable, and put it on the screen. If you buy a name-brand TV, there is a good chance it has one of our chips in it.

I am a recent graduate of Stanford University where I did research in Professor Boris Murmann's Mixed Signal Group. My graduate research focus was on digital-to-analog converters and was funded through an Intel Foundation Ph.D. Fellowship (2 yrs) and an Agilent Technologies fellowship (1 yr). I also have a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and five years of experience at National Instruments in Austin, TX, where I designed analog interface circuitry for measurement equipment.
